From an initial motto taken from the novel “Dois Irmãos” by Milton Hatoun, the piece works several musical textures among the complex timbre apparatus of percussion along with the single sonority of the piano. It is divided in two parts. In the first one, the percussion emphasizes the hearing of resonances of metals and drums, always accompanied by ostinati trills and tremolos from the piano. As the piece develops, these events come together until they reach its climax in one great pause that establishes the beginning of the second part, in which the piano leaves its role as accompaniment to become the leading instrument of musical phenomena. As the second part advances, the three musicians are mixed into one single sonority, ending the piece calmly, but inconclusively.
